Fees
You pay for a visit day, then for the board or pack that comes out of it.
Prices below are starting points in pounds sterling, excluding VAT where VAT applies. A second depot, a plotter-size board, or a long archive of running sheets will change the figure. We do not sell monthly seats.
What usually decides the quote
Fleet size matters less than how the records are kept. A forty-vehicle garage with tidy running sheets is quicker than a twelve-vehicle yard whose VOR lives in texts. Distance from Alston, whether night shift uses the same wall, and whether inspection windows share the utilisation board all move the fee.
| Work | Starting point | Usually includes |
|---|---|---|
| Depot visit day | £850 | Yard walk, one briefing, paper draft before we leave |
| Yard utilisation board | From £1,000 after the visit | Artwork, laminated working copy, two amendment rounds |
| Inspection window board | From £720 with a utilisation visit; £1,100 stand-alone | Half-day on site if stand-alone, workshop headings |
| Workshop bay load review | £1,400 | One observation day and a two-page note plus load sheet |
| Spare cover pack | From £1,250 | Thirteen weeks at one depot, bound pack |
| Morning briefing pack | £380 with a board; £640 alone | A4 masters and a sample pad |
Travel
Journeys beyond about three hours by rail from Alston are quoted as fares and, if needed, a night in a lodging near the depot. We prefer an early start on your apron to a late arrival the same morning.
Deposits
A visit is held with thirty percent of the visit day when we agree a date. Board production is invoiced on delivery of the working copy. Archive packs are invoiced half on receipt of the sheets and half on dispatch of the bound copy.
What we will not price as a catalogue line
Rewriting an operator licence file, attending a public inquiry, or designing a board for a group of depots from one sample week. Those need a written estimate after we have seen the papers.
