Board or pack
Spare cover pack
A paper pack that shows how often you needed a spare vehicle, and what happened when none was available, using your own running sheets.
Who it is for
Operators arguing internally for an extra spare bus or tractor unit, or explaining lost mileage to a client or authority.
What you should be able to do afterwards
A dated pack of missed cover, borrowed vehicles, and cancelled duties that a finance meeting can read without a translator.
Scope
One depot or one contract, typically thirteen weeks of running sheets.
Included
- Collation of running sheets, duty cancellations, and borrowed-vehicle notes
- A short narrative of the worst weeks
- Tables you may attach to an internal request
Not included
- Lobbying a traffic commissioner
- Writing a business case in your corporate template unless agreed
Who attends
Helen Cawley, with Priya Nair on the tables.
How the work runs
- You box up or scan the period agreed.
- We mark days when a spare was needed and what you did instead.
- You receive a bound pack and a plain-language two-page opener.
Time
Two to four weeks depending on how the sheets arrive.
Where
Desk work in Alston; a clarifying call with the depot supervisor.
What to prepare
Do not tidy the sheets. Crossed-out duties are the evidence.
Limits we will not paper over
If cancellations were never written down, the pack will be thinner than the memory of the duty clerk.
Fees
From £1,250 for thirteen weeks at one depot. Older archives take longer and are quoted.
Next step
Tell us the period you need to cover and how the running sheets are stored.
